I had a friend of mine recommend me this anime. I already had another friend of mine from last year recommend it to me, but I didn't think of watching it, so I kept putting it off. I binge watched through the anime in three days, and I can say one thing. It's absolutely amazing.
It felt so refreshing to watch, and every character was so nice to dive into. There were so many moments that made me love everything and anything about the characters. The main character's mind throughout the story is a very important aspect to the nature of these so called parasites that start taking over humans. The main character's transformation is something you most definitely don't want to miss.
The fight scenes in this anime take a completely different route than typical anime fight scenes which shows the character gets stronger. Yes, the main character makes notable changes to his physique. However, the cooperation of the parasite and human mind is something that makes the main character, Shinichi, and his friend "Migi" much more of a compatible pair as they play smart against all their enemies. It's amazing, and it's a very refreshing thought especially to how fight scenes are now more than ever.
The anime is very brutal and not for the faint of heart. It really takes Shinichi on a journey that makes him change so much as a person. The character development in the story is amazingly well, and the animation is just as beautiful.
People are going to be quick to compare it to another lovely anime called "Tokyo Ghoul" but I can guarantee you that htis anime is completely different. Its manga has also been out much more longer than Tokyo Ghoul. Both of these animes I love, and Parasyte is definitely an anime taht does it in a very different way. Anybody who starts watching it from the very first episode will surely get caught right into the story.
I wish I could say more about the anime, but I don't want to spoil anything. Definitely check it out for oyurself, and I can guarantee you won't regret it. It's worth the watch, and you'll feel a deep connection tot he characters as a whole. You will also love the development of the character as he continues in a world soon to be in a state of chaos with his own mind.
